Honestly, I am just annoyed by the news and my facebook feed flooded by people wishing to argue and nit pick and just go on and on about something as if it were religion or politics. So let me break this down as simple as I can:
First, if we ban everything that offends someone, there will be nothing left.
Second, let us skip past the 101 opinions and personal meanings applied to the confederate flag. Actual, original meaning of the Confederate flag is as follows
1) 13 Stars= original 13 colonies
2)Red=Valor
3)Blue = Justice
4)White= Purity
5)X= OUT, as in the south wanted out.
That's it boys and girls nothing more, nothing less.
Third, Now Historically, Personal, Implied, etc.. well there is an infinite amount of percieved meanings behind it and any other symbol really.... and people are free to voice those views... who cares.
Fourth, the banning that is happening is in stores, specific businesses, they cater to the ignorant... it's smart business, do what brings in the most money. Im sure their decision involved some financial math that I'm too lazy to do, but it still added up to smaller loss of profits or higher or whatever numbers made them happy. And when all the buzz has died down, I'm sure it will appear on shelves again.
In conclusion it ultimately doesnt matter, we all like or hate different things, and I guarantee there are plenty of places to purchase the flag online and probably for a better price than Walmart or Target can offer. If you're posting just to vent that you are mad at the stores doing it, that's fine. You do you, vent all you want, scream it to the skies and.... Welcome to America.
